Damp and rotting from the inside out, these grand buildings once housed the people that society rejected
There are ghost stories told about the inhabitants and stories about the practices that went on inside and walking around the quiet derelict corridors, its easy to imagine them bustling with nurses and people going about their work. In the ballrooms you can almost hear the piano and see the patients dancing slowly in circles.
Only a few of these buildings remain, most have been or are being demolished or have been converted into flats.
