I had seen images from this place but being about 400 miles away, it was just out of daytrip reach. A long weekend in Whitby gave me the excuse to visit.
A strange place, massive circular evaporation pools with what looks like old huts in the middle and concrete posts running round the parimeters.
Apart from the dog walking locals who wonder why you are there enthusiastically taking pictures of what must be a local eyesore, its like somewhere out of a science fiction movie. Visited on a bright and sunny day so the desert mad max landscape looked all the more barren
